MEET JJ

Driven by Passion, Built on Experience

JJ’s passions span many realms—from cultivating and nurturing deep, meaningful connections to building a healthy body through balanced nutrition and physical discipline. Forever a student of life, he is constantly absorbing insights from the world around him. The relationships he shares with family and close friends are at the heart of all he does, and he attributes any success he’s achieved to these bonds, which have shaped his path and purpose. JJ believes, “Relationships are the single most important thing in this world,” and he works diligently to prioritize them in every aspect of his life.

For JJ, relationships go beyond simply connecting with others—they encompass a profound commitment to oneself, one’s environment, and the entirety of daily life. He understands that each interaction, whether with a friend, a new experience, or the natural world, is a chance to learn, grow, and connect on a deeper level. His mission is to nurture these relationships, finding meaning in every connection and infusing his journey with purpose and gratitude.

What we do

ON SNOW TRAINING

Individually curated Snowboard instruction rooted in connection, customized structure, and lasting value for every rider 🤙

T.H.E STORY

Freelance snowboard instruction is an uncommon path, largely due to how the ski and snowboard industry operates. Many resorts in the US prohibit independent instruction, primarily because of concerns around liability and litigation. Resorts are understandably cautious about potential risks associated with unregulated lessons, especially when instructors may not carry insurance or have formal ties to their organization.

At The Homie Experience, we understand these concerns and approach our work with the utmost care and professionalism. With over 8 years of teaching experience, we are deeply committed to providing a safe and structured learning environment, following the same rigorous standards that you’d expect from resort-based programs.

Why We Chose the Freelance Path

Freedom from Corporate Constraints

Independence lets us tailor lessons to your needs, creating a genuine student-teacher connection for truly personalized progression.

INNOVATION IN INSTRUCTION

We bring the heart and soul of the sport, sharing our passion both on and off the slopes. Our focus is on growth and helping riders discover the spark that fuels a love for life.

Our Commitment

While freelance instruction may not have the same infrastructure as resort-based programs, we take our role seriously. Every lesson is conducted with the same care and attention to safety that we’ve honed over years of teaching. Our ultimate goal is to redefine what snowboarding instruction can be while respecting the traditions and structures of the industry.

T.H.E CODE

In a world that craves authenticity, we’re keeping The Homie Experience underground to help sustain long term growth.

By following these simple guidelines, each member helps protect the future of T.H.E.

1.
Keep T.H.E Off Social Media

To avoid attracting outside attention, please don’t post about The Homie Experience on social media—no tags, no public shoutouts, no business mentions. Keeping things private helps us maintain the integrity of our crew and avoid unnecessary attention.

2.
Invite-Only, Trusted Connections

Quality over quantity is the name of the game. Share The Homie Experience only with those you trust personally, keeping our community tight and intentional. We grow through genuine connections, not mass promotion.

3.
No Money Transactions on the Mountain

All payments happen digitally or offsite. When we’re on the mountain, it’s all about the ride—no formal transactions to keep things smooth and low-profile. This keeps us focused on what matters: riding, learning, and having fun.

4.
The "Friend Clause"

If anyone asks, we’re just homies out here enjoying the mountain together—no formal lessons or payment, just friends sharing stoke and skills. This helps us keep things lowkey and ensures we can keep coming back for more.

5.
Respect the Flow and Safety

The mountain has its own flow, and we’re here to be a part of it. Ride smart, and always watch out for your crew. Keeping it safe means we can keep the stoke alive and keep pushing forward together.

6.
Give Back When You Can

Snowboarding is a privilege, and it’s important to recognize that. Whether it’s picking up trash on the mountain, offering encouragement to new riders, or helping a friend with gear, we always aim to give back—to the community, to the mountain, and to each other.
